SOME BASICS

One camper per form. Recommended ages are 5-12 years for our all-gender camps, with most participants being between 7 and 10 years old. For GRRLZ Weeks, recommended ages are 5-16, with equal representation at all ages. All camps are all gender unless otherwise noted as a GRRLZ WEEK. Check out our Summer Camp Info Packet for additional camp details, including daily schedules, pack list, and policies!

GRRLZ WEEKS

As an organization, Skate Like a Girl is committed to being a welcoming and safer space for all, and invites girls (cisgender or trans), trans, and gender non-conforming youth to join us for GRRLZ* WEEKs. Cisgender (nontrans) male youth can participate during all other camp weeks not designated as GRRLZ* WEEKS.

PRONOUNS

At Skate Like a Girl we are committed to creating spaces where youth of all genders feel welcome. Every day we skate with little boys with long hair, girls who hate pink, and many more kiddos in between and beyond. In order to not misgender our youth, we ask youth to share their pronouns (she/her, they/them, he/him, etc.) with the group. That way if we are referring to a skater "She did an awesome job" or "They took a big risk!" we're referring to everyone accurately. We make sure to let kids know what pronouns are and if they don't wish to share their pronouns, and opt to use just their name instead, that's totally cool.
